In addition to Liz’s innovative teaching style and her infectious enthusiasm, she is modest about her continuing professional acting career on stage and TV.
Her appearances are too numerous to list, but include Coronation Street, Skins, Dalziel and Pasco and Waterloo Road plus a season at the Royal in Manchester. Liz also has BADC qualifications in Armed and Unarmed Combat - which means that her pupils always pay attention. |

Chris has a musical background which is as broad as it is long. He has performed every kind of music from rock and roll to Grand Opera. He has also directed and acted roles ranging from Shakespeare to Pantomime.
Out of this experience, he developed his own teaching style which treats the voice as an instrument and he encourages his pupils to explore as wide a repertoire as possible.
He admits that his methods can appear unusual but he maintains that they are based on a tradition that goes back 500 years when performers had to have the stamina and power to overcome unfriendly acoustics, and the absence of amplification.
Chris believes that singing is as easy as talking and walking and takes great pleasure in proving the point to unbelievers. |

Chris has been around the amateur and professional stage scene for many years both performing and directing.
He co-founded STARS – an award winning amateur repertory company which just celebrated its 30th year. Plus he runs a revue group that performs for charitable organisations throughout the region. His forte is encouraging his pupils to invent improvised scenes that never fail to entertain.
He’s directed professional productions for Antic Mind Theatre Company in association with Italian Company - PalkettoStage for Italian nationwide tours and been principal, chorus, and director for countless productions.
Chris has been described by his ex pupils as “a legend”. We can only admire his brilliant sense of comedy and comedic timing. |

BA (Hons.) Acting
Regan brings a wealth of academic and classical understanding to our classes.
She trained in mask work, physical theatre, La Commedia dell’ Arte and is commended for Shakespearian understanding, delivery and performance. Reagan has performed in Italy and the USA as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew, and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.
Curiously, Regan is also trained in stage combat – is there a trend here? |

Louise trained in all aspects of Dance, Performing Arts, and Contemporary Studies, with Jean Pearce and John Auty. Then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Dance at the Laban Centre, London.
She has taught in Spain, Germany, USA & Australia and is constantly in demand from professional and amateur companies.
Louise formed Locked Out Productions in 2007, whose productions have included We Will Rock You, Fame and The Full Monty.
Louise is also the founder and Artistic Director of Damuus Dance Company— a company aimed at bridging the gap between the young amateur and professional dancer.
Recent projects include Directing Fiddler on the Roof (West Yorkshire Playhouse) Directing/Choreographing A Chorus Line (Harrogate Theatre), Ragtime (Leeds Grand Theatre) & Footloose (Wakefield Theatre Royal), plus a sprinkling of pantomimes in her spare time.
We think Louise's choreography is the best you’ll see - and she’s a first rate Director, with a rare understanding of how the different stage disciplines come together.
But don’t take our word for it, ask anyone whose been to see one of her shows. |
